Hi Everyone!
Some long awaited news. I signed a contract this morning with Y Mountain Press to publish Grandpa Thomas' new book, "Line Drive to Seventy-Five - A Conversation with Donald C. Thomas." Starting this week (I'll let you know the day), you will be able to order this 477 page book directly from BYU's internet site. The cost will be $39.95 for a hard bound copy. You can even save mailing costs if you pick it up directly at BYU. The BYU bookstore will have a copy of the book if anyone wants to look at it before buying. Now, for a limited time only, until Dec. 24, 2011, we all can buy this book in an imitation leather (a real leather bound book this size would cost over $100!) for $39.95! After Dec 24th, the cost of that edition will go up to about $65 since they will most likely only be printing them one at a time. After Dec 24, there will only be a hard bound (but not a vinyl leather look alike) printed on paper that will be $39.95. So even years down the road we can have access to the hard bound "non-leather" book. So, even though the actual book won't be delivered until after Christmas, this would be a great Christmas book for all immediate family. Spread the word! Talk to your brothers and sisters, kids, and any other relative you think might be interested and lets get the good pricing on the leather look alike before Christmas. If any of this is confusing, please call me up and I will do a better job of explaining the options over the phone!
By the way, for any of you who haven't heard, Amy, our daughter, gave birth to a big baby boy, 8 lbs. 4 ounces on Friday November 18. His name is Reuben Scott (RS?) Harward.
Love to all,
David
