Family reunion

Here's the schedule so far:

June 8:
We will be meeting at Hamlet Park in the north pavilion at 5pm.  Bring
a sack lunch for you and your family.  At 6 we will have a Thomas
family family home evening.  We'll start with a song, prayer, then a
lesson and game on ancestors, then we'll introduce a project being
done by Brad Westwood's on Joseph Don Carlos.  We'll be talking about
what we can do to help with this.  Afterwards we'll have a dessert
bar.

June 9:
Morning Hike at Cascade Springs.  We'll meet at 10am at the trail
head.  This is an easy hike so kids should be good to come.

June 10:
I'm looking into the Utah state high school rodeo finals held
8-13...http://www.gohebervalley.com/uhsrodeo_finals.  I'm hoping we
can go to the 7pm contest, but I'm not sure about prices and such.
So, I'll keep you up to date on this one.

June 11:
Lunch at Hamlet Park again at 11am.  I'm wanting to get some water
balloons filled up and maybe the kids (or adults can play balloon
toss:)).

Please come for whatever you can or want.  Below are the addresses for
where we will be.  Also, there are some links to other sites of
interest if anyone wants to go out on their own and explore.

Address for Hamlet Park:

Johnson Mill Road (850 E.) & Main (Hwy 115) in Midway

CASCADE SPRINGS INTERPRETIVE TRAILS
Length: Variable
Difficulty: Easy

Description: Boardwalks with interpretive signs form a network of
trails around Cascade Springs, where you'll find a series of beautiful
springs, cascades and pools. The area is located on the east side of
Mount Timpanogos, and provides excellent views of the mountains.

The area is forested and is scenic in its own right. Trout can often
be seen in the pools. Other wildlife abounds here.

The area is full of color during fall. It is closed during winter.

Cascade Springs
The boardwalks here are fully accessible. The stroll around them may
take just a few minutes, or hours if you want to linger and enjoy the
serenity and scenery. This is a great spot for young children and
family picnics.

Alpine Loop Summit
The main access is via the Cascade Springs Backway, which runs from
the summit along the Alpine Loop Road down to Soldier Hollow in
Wasatch Mountain State Park. From Salt Lake or Provo, get on the
Alpine Loop Road via American Fork or Provo canyons and just drive up
the mountain to the summit. The Alpine Loop Road is clearly signed, as
is the Cascade turnoff.

Soldier Hollow
From Heber or midway, drive the Charleston Road, which runs along the
east side of Deer Creek Reservoir. Turnoff into Soldier Hollow and
follow the signs pointing toward Cascade Springs. The route is easy,
regardless of your approach.
