From the Thomanders

TOP TEN THOMANDER MOMENTS OF 2008 (in chronological order)

10. Kayla had tubes put in her ears; greatly improving her hearing and speech!

9. Kayla is learning to spell and read small words!

8. Dave graduated with a bachelor’s in civil engineering (CE), commissioned with the Air Force, and was assigned to Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs!

7. We started our first family blog: commanderthomanders@blogspot.com

6. We moved into our first little house (rented, someday we’ll own a house!) and bought our first lawnmower!

5. We had a small car accident (someone rear-ended us) which “forced” us to buy a new car.

4. We traveled to Alabama for six weeks and lived in a hotel (with at least a kitchenette) for Dave’s 2nd Lieutenant training.

3. Kathy performed in a singing competition called Front Range Idol on base competing with Peterson & Shriever Air Force Base and the Air Force Academy and did AWESOME!

2. We survived being apart for Dave’s CE training in Ohio for 7 weeks!

1. Kayla has started at a new preschool! (Recently she has learned the Pledge of Allegiance!)

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and happy New Year’s! We love and miss all of you and hope to see you soon. Please keep in touch and let us know how you are doing!

Love, Dave, Kathy, & Kayla Thomander
